TOWN OF WYOMING, IOWA COUNTY
RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH CEMETERY POLICY AND CHARGES
Whereas, the Town of Wyoming operates two cemeteries within the boundaries of the Town, namely – Old Helena Cemetery and Wyoming Cemetery (aka Fann’s Hill Cemetery)
Whereas the cemeteries are operated in accordance with Chapter 157, Disposition of Human Remains, and Chapter 440 Department of Regulation and Licensing, Subchapter VIII, Sec. 440.90, Cemetery Authorities, Salespersons and Preneed Sellers, of the Wisconsin State Statutes
Therefore, the Town Board of the Town of Wyoming resolves as follows:
1. To establish a charge of $200 for one cemetery burial lot
2. To make burial lots available to all Town of Wyoming residents and related family members, and former Town of Wyoming residents and related family members.
3. To allow “green burials” in designated areas, with an additional charge of $100 per burial lot to cover the additional maintenance expense of the cemetery grounds.
