Attendance
The officers present: John Hess (chairman), Leonard Olson (supervisor), Mike Degen (supervisor), Laurie Baruch (treasurer), and Mary Lloyd-Jones (clerk).
Others present: None

The meeting was called to order at 7:34 PM

Minutes

Motion to accept July minutes (Olson/Degen) carried unanimously.

Treasurer’s Report

Baruch presented treasurer’s report. Motion to approve (Degen/Olson) carried unanimously.

Plan Commission Information Report

Commission did not meet this month. Lama sent out postcards for the picnic & information will now be put in the Home News & on the website. Degen met with Sneed Creek buyers about building siting. Several properties are for sale in the township.

DATCP draft farmland preservation zoning ordinance

Iowa County P&Z Committee meeting will be 6pm, August 18th, to present a draft model farmland preservation zoning ordinance.

Town Roads
Road Work for 2010. Sealcoating done. Sneed creek looks good.
August 14 Dairyland Dare Bike Event.
Highpoint Rd as unofficial detour during County C bridge replacement. Complaint to sheriff about semis on Highpoint. Probably farm trucks as other trucks are using bridge.

Alcoholic beverage server license applications

One application from HOTR. Motion to approve (Degen/Olson) passed.

DNR 2011 Recycling Grant Application

Due Oct 1. Hess has completed and submitted.

Correspondence

Emergency Planning Training date moved. We do have an emergency plan. All ordinances are now on the website.

None heard.

Payment of Invoices

Motion to approve the payment of invoices (Olson/Degen) passed unanimously.
